Trauma Therapist Background
Samm Becker is an Associate Therapist at Trauma Resolution Therapy serving clients via Los Angeles Telehealth therapy. Since 2004, Samm has facilitated client-centered work around arts and mindfulness-based healing. Rooted in Echo Park, Los Angeles, therapy she currently offers brings trauma-focused expertise and EMDR therapist training plus mindfulness-based ACT therapy and creative approaches to help clients clarify what they want, notice where they feel stuck, and safely explore difficult feelings and life challenges.

As a life-long Buddhist practitioner, it follows that her MFT from Antioch concentrated on spiritual and depth psychology. Merging art and spirituality, Samm facilitated arts recovery at Turning Point Shelter for the unhoused, Bridge the Gap after school program for students with an incarcerated parent, and the Beat Within, a letter writing program to support writers at San Quentin.
Trauma-Focused and EMDR trained, therapy Samm offers comes from her work with Strength United’s Suicide Hotline and provided therapy for adolescents at Family Services Agency in Burbank. She has certificates in Therapeutic Mindfulness from Trauma Resolution Therapy, Suicide Prevention, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is a mother of two-little girls and enjoys time in nature: “I believe everyone has a right to live in a way that feels correct and healthy for them, and I’m here to help you find that.”
